Take a short stroll through the woodland and fields at the end of our garden or walk along the river bank then up to Cadbury Camp, the remains of an Iron Age Hill Fort owned by the National Trust. The uphill walk will reward you with fabulous panoramic views stretching as far as the North Devon Coast to the south or across the Severn Estuary to the Brecon beacons beyond. Half an hour drive away you could explore the many trails on Mendip designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Alternatively, within twenty minutes you could be exploring Bristol’s historic harbour side where Brunel’s SS Great Britain is berthed in the dry dock where she was built, and only a short distance from the magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge We provide maps and routes to help you find the best from this great location.
