“Where is a good place to eat?”Being only half a mile from the centre of Nailsea and four miles from the seafront in Clevedon we have a number of good pubs, a good restaurant, Lawrence’s Bistro and the usual take a ways. A little further, say up to 20/30 minute drive the choice widens out to include some of the best restaurants and pubs in the area. We are lucky to have a Brassiere Blanc located at the heart of Bristol’s newest shopping centre, Cabot Circus and amongst a number of excellent rural pubs, the Pony & Trap at Chew Magna stands out. ShoppingFor the most indulgent shopping experience try the new Cabot Circus in Bristol. The shopping experience Bristolians have been waiting years for. We even have a Harvey Nichols now! Local visitor Attractions within a few milesClose by are the National Trust properties Tyntesfield House and Gardens and Clevedon Court and for younger visitors a great day out can be had at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. Whatever the weather Clevedon coast and historic pier can be enjoyed either from the car or an invigorating stroll from end to end along the pedestrian promenade and the sunsets can be stunning; world class. Bristol Harbourside is about 8 miles and can be the focus for a full days entertainment with many festivals during the summer, including Bristol’s famous International Balloon Fiesta. Further afieldBath and the little city of Wells are both easily reached within 45 minutes, the journey to Wells taking you across the Mendip Hills, designated An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close by are Cheddar and the mysterious caves at Wookey Hole. And let us not forget Weston Super Mare and the famous pier, burnt down in the spring of 2008, and rarely, as piers suffer around the country, is being rebuilt. Hurray! |
